New Milford Hospital is a regional acute care facility that employs various physicians, nurses, therapists, dietitians, pharmacists and technicians. Founded in 1921, the hospital specializes in cancer care, family birthing, sleep medicine and cardiovascular services. It also offers various other specialized services, such as discharge planning, nutrition counseling, pastoral care and social work support. The hospital s speech pathology center offers treatment for strokes, brain injuries, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, swallowing disorders and feeding problems. Its pathology centre provides cognitive retraining, voice evaluation, computer-assisted assessment and hearing screening services. Located in New Milford, Conn., the hospital is a member of the NewYork-Presbyterian Healthcare System. New Milford Hospital is also affiliated with the New Milford Visiting Nurse Association.
