General Info
Founded in 1912, by two pioneering brothers from Italy, Santo and John Turello, the company provided sand, gravel and concrete contracting services to the New London area. Operating under the name of Turello Brothers, they spent the next four decades earning a reputation for quality and reliability on every job. In the 50’s and 60’s, the company was strengthened by Santo’s two sons, Peter and Santo, Jr., joining the company. At this point, Turello’s left the Sand and Gravel business, and worked to strengthen their excavation, construction, and demolition services. In 1975, the original founder, Santo, passed away, leaving the company to Peter and Santo, Jr. Four years later, Peter took sole management and renamed the company, Turello & Sons. In the late 80’s, Peter Turello, passed away and left control of the business to his son, Peter S. Turello, Jr., the current owner. With the passing away of his namesake father, the business was renamed, Peter S. Turello, LLC in honor of his father. At this time, the company again diversified, adding water & sewer, asphalt, and landscape maintenance to its list of capabilities.
