Javeler Construction Company founded in 1968, was primarily an excavation construction company that worked throughout the Southeast region of the United States. In the late 1960s through early 1980s, the company used large draglines for excavation projects in Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas. In the mid 1970s, Javeler began work in South Texas. During the next 15 years, the company constructed several large land developments in the Corpus Christi area (Padre Isles, Pelican Cove and Island Moorings). In 1983, Javeler was the first company in the United States to incorporate a TOYO submersible pump in commercial dredging. This pump was used to construct Island Moorings, a marina and waterfront residential development near Port Aransas, Texas on Padre Island. The company has been working in such varied fields as pipeline burial and retrieval, cofferdam dredging, deep-water dredging and hazardous waste removal. It is headquartered in New Iberia, La.
