This is a beautiful building in New Haven. High ceilings, polished floors - it has that old New York (SoHo) feeling in the buzz of cozy New Haven. The shop on the first floor is THE place to find fabulous relics from the 40's though early 70's - funky couches, side and coffee tables, kitchen furniture and accessories, chairs that are both retro and comfortable - and everything is in very good or excellent condition. I bought a teak china cabinet styled as mid-century modern that is in perfect condition. Carol the owner and Maria her partner-in-style and are knowledgeable and very nice. Next time you are on Chapel Street, take a stroll into their shop. Even if you are not on a buying trip, it's so worth the visual immersion. One of New Haven's best spots by far!
