The company, based in New Gloucester, Maine, is owned by Richard Meiners and Donna Childs. It provides vegetable seeds, annual and perennial flower seeds, herb seeds, container plant seeds, sprouting seeds, and cover crop seeds. Pinetree Garden Seeds also sells potato tubers, onion sets, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, gladiolus bulbs and many other items that are shipped in the spring. Additionally, it also offers gardening-related products like animal deterrents, composting products, fertilizers, soil conditioners, herbicides and the like.
