I first visited Gemani's while visiting a friend in New Castle. She told me "everybody" gets their bling from Germani's and since I was in the market for a new watch I thought I'd stop and check it out for myself. At first glance I was reminded of the many hometown jewelers that have all but vanished in my area. Wrought iron gates and a buzzer greeted you before entering a small but busy showroom. Four associates tended to the endless stream of customers as Joe (the jeweler) showed me several watches. As usual, I couldn't decide so I told him I'd have to think about it for awhile. Now I know why they have been in business for more than 60 years. Everyone is greeted with a smile, offered great prices and service. Just what you would expect from your hometown jewelers. Oh, and by the way, I returned two days later and bought the watch. I will return..
