I was in the Spectacle Shoppe last week and worked with the owner, David. He was so wonderful and fun. He was very interesting in that he has so much knowledge about different lenses and information about the amount work you do on the computer and what lens is the best fit for you. David even sent me home with a rose not only for me but also for my mother! Great service and great selection.
I'd highly recommend going to the Grand Ave St. Paul location. After searching for weeks, I stopped in to Spectacle Shoppe and they found the perfect glasses to fit my face in a matter of seconds. I LOVE THEM!
Maureen has gone above and beyond to help me make the right selection, accommodate my schedule for exams and fittings, and with no questions asked, replaced a lens that seemed to have a manufacturing blemish.

I've gotten so many compliments on my first glasses bought here ("I like your style", "cool specs, man", etc. ), of course I returned for my next round.
Nowhere else has such a ginormous selection of frames, classic to hip to hilarious. Just looking around is fun.
If you've got "a look" in mind, you can easily find 10 various styles to fit it.
Brad's help was super. He "got" the look I was going for immediately and brought likely candidates to me as I browsed. I had six winners to winnow down to 2 in no time.
I expect to get a lot more compliments on my new frames.

I bought some Oliver Peoples glasses last fall and have been in several times for complimentary adjustments and replacements nose pads (design flaw). I forget her name but the woman who in there most days is great. She is the Glass Whisperer when it comes to finding the right shape and color for your face!
