River House for dinner is the best kept secret in New Braunfels. Full menu including plenty of items for men. Good food and great service.

Love to stop and eat here whenever I am in Gruene. Every year we bring our daughters for a special Christmas tea experience and it is the highlight of the season. The desserts are exquisite, especially the hummingbird cake and bread pudding(s). The quiches are a delight, and served with scrumptious fresh fruit, muffin, apricot butter..mmmm! The chef is creative and tremendously talented, and I love the front parlor atmosphere--high tea cuisine without the snooty attitude. Don't miss the chance to eat here--especially if you're out with the girlfriends.
