there are some good things and some bad things about this store. So in this particular store, they keep alligators and huge snakes in really small aquariums!!! These are animals not tourist attractions!!! They really deserve something bigger!!! So moving on, they sell only puppies from breeders instead of shelter pets. I think it's not responsible and really cheap of them. They don't sell puppies from rescues because then they wouldn't make 1,000+ on every puppy!!!! On thing to add, they overcrowd everything. Okay, on a happy note I LOVE THE TANKS THEY HAVE THE HAMSTERS IN!!!! So the Bills Pet shop in Newbern has a great setup for the hamsters. They have the hamsters in the same type of cage as the rabbits have, so if people want to pet the hamsters they can. So when I bought my hamster she was already hand tamed!!! I love this method. But the store in Havelock keeps them cooped up inside of tanks that are too small. They also breed the hamsters from the shop. They also seem to keep good tabs on their fish tanks. So overall if your looking to buy a reptile, small animal, or fish, this is the place to go! BUT DO NOT BUY A PUPPY OR KITTEN FROM HERE BECAUAE THEY WILL MOST LIKELY BE SICK FROM OVERCROWDING!!! Please do me a favor and keep your 1,500 dollars and spend it on a needy dog at the shelter.

I travel 30 miles every weekend just about to get fish and supplies as this store has some of the best selection of pets and supplies I have ever witnessed in a pet store. Bill....YOU ROCK!
