Because substance abuse and mental health disorders often co-occur, treatment programs are designed to treat the whole person. Adult Services Harbor Oaks Hospital offers Inpatient and Partial Hospitalization Programs for adults ages 18 and older. Under the medical direction of a psychiatrist, each patient receives an individualized treatment plan, which is implemented by a multi-disciplinary team of professionals including psychologists, social workers, psychiatric nurses, educational specialists and activity therapists. Daily program provides a controlled and structured environment for patients having emotional and behavioral difficulties. Through individual, group, family and expressive therapies, patients learn healthy behaviors to cope with problems. Children and Adolescent Services Harbor Oaks Hospital offers inpatient treatment for children ages 5 to 12 and adolescents ages 13 to 17. Under the medical direction of a child/adolescent psychiatrist, each patient receives an individualized treatment plan which is implemented by a multi-disciplinary team of professionals including psychologists, social workers, psychiatric nurses, educational specialists and activity therapists and discharge planners. Our inpatient program provides a controlled and structured environment for children and adolescents having emotional and behavioral difficulties. Through individual, group, family and expressive therapies, patients learn healthy behaviors to cope with problems.
