I would give this place zero stars if I could. April 1st I drove from PA to Yale New Haven Hospital, after a call telling me my sister was on life support there. I drove through the night in a panic and parked at the Walgreens about 3 blocks from the hospital. While in the hospital I told one of the nurses where I parked and she gave me directions to a parking garage. I was parked in Walgreens for about an hour. This company towed my car from Walgreens to their garage in that time frame. I was in a strange city, with no car and no idea where the car was. Walgreens gave me the number to the tow company. The driver was rude, insulting and we ended up in a shouting match. I walked, got lost, walked some more and over a mile later found the tow company just as they were towing in a car with Virginia plates. Again a shouting match ensued and 118. dollars later I had my car.
My sister ended up in the hospital for over 2 weeks. I had plenty of time to watch the Walgreens parking lot. Yes there are signs that say 30 minute parking for customers only. In my panic that night I didn't see them. But I've since noticed taxis parked there for over an hour with no towing.
This company targets out of state cars near the hospital, knowing that in their desperation in a strange city, they park in empty lots just to get to the hospital quickly.
They are dishonest and take advantage of people in a desperate situation. When I told the driver I was giving them a bad review he said, " You're not the first one. It doesn't matter. No one cares about that. "
Well, here's my review because I do care. York Towing is heartless!

This company towed a car, charged a $100 a day, and was given 2 different prices to have the car released each $100 difference and only would take cash, refused to give an itemized receipt or any receipt at all. Watch out
