General Info
Vision Health Institute (formerly – Perry Eye Care) has been a leading provider of optometry services and vision care products in the Orlando community since 1990, and we want to help you achieve and maintain clear vision for years to come. Our experienced eye doctors offer comprehensive vision examinations at our Orlando optometry office and specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide array of eye diseases, conditions, and problems. We use advanced diagnostic technology and vision correction products and are committed to improving the quality of life of persons in the Orlando community through enhanced vision. An Opportunity for Change: After relocating to a new practice in January, 2014, we ventured into a fresh and innovative business model. With the aspiration of differentiating our practice from 13 opticals located within a one-mile radius, we opened a 5800+ sq. ft. facility which far exceeded our expectations. The decision to relocate was partly driven by rising costs of business operations in a rental environment, and the aspiration of developing a premier branded strategy. We recognized that our small practice model would be significantly impacted in the future of changing healthcare dynamics. With a history of 25 years in Orlando, we sought to deliver the best value and patient care. During the first 30 days of 2014, we changed the practice name from Perry Eye Care to The Vision Health Institute and unveiled a new 2,000 sq. ft. sophisticated and trendy optical. Our practice experienced immediate growth and the rewards from our investment began to materialize. A Unique Practice The practice can be distinguished, not only by its modern and progressive design, but also our knowledgeable and compassionate staff. Our exceptional service is strengthened by weekly staff meetings in our conference room, where we share experiences, best practices and invite key opinion leaders for education and leadership. We constantly embrace change, as our vision to deliver extraordinary care continues to be redefined by integrating the latest in advanced technology. Every aspect of the practice was developed with our patients needs in mind. The optical is a modern, sleek and elegant design, which often is compared to an Apple store or museum. A drive-through window is incorporated to optimize convenience and quick access to contact lens and eyewear pickup. The spacious retail optical offers a seamless buying experience with the use of advanced technology integrated into several styling stations, each of which is equipped with touch screen monitors, printers, credit card processing and all the devices used to measure and adjust frames. When dispensing glasses, patients are escorted to a stylish “dispensing high-bar” for the presentation and adjustment of their new eyewear. Nine foot frosted glass doors and white crisp displays inspire the appearance of the many elegant luxury frame styles which embellish the optical and create a focal point for the patients. Innovations: The clinic’s urban design is 99% LED lighting, which enhances the sustainable design of the entire building, parking and landscaping. The crisp ambiance sustains a comfortable yet contemporary feel. This serves as a framework for our primary goal to optimize vision and provide a personalized experience. The pre-test area and exam lanes host the latest in progressive digital technology including OCT, Retinal Imaging, Visual fields, Topography, Anterior Segment Cameras and touch screen monitors. Glass mirrored nine ft. barn-doors line the corridors and are a reflection of the modern values and beliefs which form the clinics foundation.
