Dr. Trotter graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of San Diego. He earned the Doctor of Medicine degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. and completed residency training in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery from Georgetown University Hospital and affiliate hospitals, which included The Washington Hospital Center and The Children's National Medical Center in Washington, D.C.
