Tropiano Transportation was founded in 1985 by Joseph and Anna May Tropiano in Ambler, Pa., as a minority-owned company. The company started with only two vehicles. As the company began to expand and the fleet grew bigger, so did the demands of the family. From 1985 to today, the company has grown at an average rate of 18 percent per year. Tropiano Transportation is the only licensed carrier permitted to sell on the per-seat basis. As the company grew, Tropiano's added two more niche companies, Tropiano Airport Shuttle and Tropiano Tours. Along with these companies came the addition of its own in-house mechanics and driver safety-management program.
