General Info
The IT industry is like any other. There's a ladder to climb, and unfortunately for the consumer the bottom of that ladder tends to be your desktop technicians, phone support centers, basically everyone the average consumer has access to. Unfortunate but true, the average tech you're likely to encounter is either too uneducated or too inexperienced to be working a corporate job. I've recently spent some time in Florida, working what I now hope is my last corporate IT job. I've realized that the world needs an alternative to the big-box stores and questionable neighborhood repair shops. A friendly, efficient, honest tech with experience you won't likely find with any of my competitors. I bring over 10 years of experience to the table, and have worked with nearly any variety of hardware, software, and Operating System imagineable. I've done web design, programming, system repairs, maintenance, data recovery, I've even spent some time as a slot machine technician in Las Vegas. I'm not a giant corporate entity. I don't have fleets of cars with my logo on them, I don't have uniforms or plastic badges or hundreds of hourly employees. I operate with significantly lower overhead, so I'm able to pass those lower costs on to you. I also believe that the rules you live by are also good for business. I wouldn't give less than a full effort, overcharge, or generally rip off a friend or relative, why should that be an acceptable practice in business?
