The State Bar of Texas Lawyer Referral Information Service is available Monday – Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Se habla Español. You may also get a referral online anytime using our automated referral service at www.texasbar.com/LRIS. There is no charge for the referral you are provided. However, the lawyers who belong to the service are not free (pro bono) or reduced fee attorneys. The initial consultation of 30 minutes will cost you no more than $20, payable to the attorney. You should be in a position to pay a reasonable fee to the attorney you are referred to should they accept your case and you decide to hire him or her. If you are not in a position to pay and are looking for reduced or free legal service, our Lawyer Referral program can still be of assistance.
