Sleeping Giant is a family owned and operated company spanning 3 generations. Walter Butler started working for Hardy Refrigeration in 1956 for 50 cents an hour. He started his own company in 1963 in Childersburg, Alabama and built it from the ground up. He passed the business down to his two sons, Danny and Tim Butler, when he was ready to retire. They have over 50 years of experience combined. It is hard to find a family business that has truly stood the test of time like this. Over all of these years the Butler family has always worked their hardest to ensure the customer is taken care of. They have earned the trust and support of the community and will continue a tradition that has now spanned for over 53 years.
