Captain Creepy

My family went on a 6 hour fishing trip with silver dollar charter because we loved deep sea fishing in Florida. If you are expecting to ACTUALLY fish don't go to Silver dollar charters. They won't let you put your bait on and they won't let you cast your line. That's half the fun of fishing! We stayed in one spot for about a hour where we caught 5(?) sharks, a red fish, and a catfish(which we threw back because they are nasty in Mississippi) After we hadn't caught anything in about 2 minutes they told us to reel in our lines. They said they were "Going to try something different." We assumed we were just going to a different spot to fish. No. We sat there trolling for 2 hours! Finally my aunt asked if we could go back to the other kind of fishing. The deckhand said he was going to have to ask the captain. The captain acted as if it was such a big inconvenience. He said that we weren't going to catch anything unless we were trolling. WE HADN'T CAUGHT ANYTHING TROLLING FOR FREAKING 2 HOURS! At least in the other spot we were catching a lot of sharks! They brought us to a crappy spot because they said we couldn't go back to the original spot because we didn't have enough time. (We would have if they hadn't wasted our time trolling) Not only were they inconsiderate by making us troll, they were also rude and creepy. They were rude because they ate our Doritos they WE brought on. Before he are the Doritos he had just put bait on someone's hook and then he had rinsed his hand off in that bloody water that they didn't clean out. They were creepy because instead of actually trying to learn our names they would call is sweetheart, darlin', and sweetie. Idk if that's what you do in Mississippi but where I live that is super creepy. The cherry on top was when he yelled at my dad for not tipping enough. Really? It's not required to tip! The only reason we tipped the deckhand is because he is actually nice! The captain is just a money seeking, rude, inconsiderate, creepy, jerk. I wish we would have looked at these reviews on Yelp (since they delete the bad reviews on Facebook) before we would have booked. If you want to go deep sea fishing save up money to go to Florida. It isn't worth it here.

We have chartered fishing trip...

We have chartered fishing trips many many times and have always had amazing fun except for the one we planned with this Captain on the Silver Dollar III . I spent $1400 and never got to touch a fishing pole, the captains son was beyond rude, when the one fish that did get caught was caught the captain yelled out "oh good now you have to pay me" My entire family including the girls are all hard core fisherman and we shortened our trip to a 6 hours trip when we had planned on an 8 hour trip because of the unprofessional nature of the captain and crew ( with the exception of one deck hand) At the marina the other fisherman had told us the sharks were biting everywhere in great numbers and that we should have a great time, but this man took us no were. He didn't even worry about bait until we were at the dock getting ready to load on the boat.We requested a Bonita bate everytime we talked to him prior and he of course had none at all and you would think he would try to be prepared before our arrival but was not at all. This trip was reserved over 2 months in advance. If you enjoy fishing this is not the Charter Captain for you ! Sincerely, David Young ( Totally Disappointed! )
