I called and spoke to the live in houseparent, who at the time of my take in was everything you wish your mother was. They took me in later that week after an interview in the home with the staff. For the first few months of my stay I loved it. The staff was exceptional and knowledgeable, they helped me to fill out the necessary paperwork to help myself and helped me get to and from various classes and doctors appointments.



On the other hand, after two years, the house parent retired, and a new one was brought in. She was never properly trained, and almost clueless when it came to available resources. I am as open minded as most, but I felt as though Christianity was being shoved down my throat a lot of times. But don't let them fool you with their "Christian" preachings, they're not as family orientated as you might first think. The home is geared towards younger and underage women, and it is evident by the ridiculously strict rules, (9 pm curfew, dress code, sign out sheets, *mandatory bible studies, no male visitors, no t.v. after 11, no phones in bedroom or phone time after 9, certain genres of music are prohibited, as well as t.v show/movies above PG 13 rating, and only one home visit per month- with prior permission, and the list goes on) that even the older residents must follow.



All in all, this home itself is above all expectations, it's the staff I think that needs an update.
