After a phone conversation with Steve where he spent a lot of time explaining the job, a reasonable price quote and the fact that a job he did for a friend 19 years ago still looks great (even with pets!), I decided right then and there that he had the job! I wasnt exactly sure how the end result was going to turn out based on the floors age and the abuses of the previous home owners pets. I was almost sure Steve was going to have to replace boards. As it turned out, that was not needed. Floor looks absolutely beautiful!!! Steve pays extra attention to detail. And what was really amazing was how little dust the whole job left behind! I echo one of the other customer reviews that Steve looks at a job from an aesthetic point of view, not just another construction job. Steve and his crew did a great job with our home. He sanded/stained two rooms for our house and they came out better than we imagined. We had some challenges for him and he helped fix the floor's height to match the kitchen tile where other contractors were looking to charge us much more. He was very thorough during the project and carefully covered (plastic) parts of our home not being worked on. We had very worn and damaged hardwood floors which needed to be re-finished. I had several estimates and Steve was by far the most knowledgeable. We felt comfortable leaving him to complete the project while we headed out of town. He was reliable, very clean and neat, and most helpful at the end when he lent me his industrial "backpack" vaccuum to use to remove the thin layer on the walls in the rooms involved. Most importantly, the floors look beautiful! Steve convinced me to try a new color and I am so happy with it - everything is perfect!

We had carpeting in our home for many years & finally decided to switch to hardwood flooring. We had several estimates but chose Steve Leger because he looked at the job from an aesthetic point of view where the others just saw it as a construction job. We were also impressed by Steves open & honest approach regarding how the job would go & how long it would take. There are no surprises with Steve.Long story short, Steve surpassed our expectations. Most of the flooring guys just hand you a manufacturer's board and tell you to pick from the color swatches. Not Steve - he put 10 different custom color mixes on our floor & we picked the one we liked the best. We now have the most fabulous looking hardwood floors. When we compare them to other homes we realize the work done on ours was superior quality. The color is gorgeous, the finish is beautiful & we get compliments from everyone. My husband & I have recommended Steve to friends & they have all been pleased with his work as well.

Bought a house recently that had wall to wall carpeting, which when we pulled them up, had hardfloors that were stained heavily by previous pets. Steve and his crew came in, and restored my floors to their original luster. As one of the previous reviews stated, he was a little higher in price, but the quality of workmanship was exceptional!
