SandRidge Energy has digging, exploration and production facilities in the Gulf Coast area cotton valley trend in eastern Texas, as well as the West Texas Overthrust (WTO), an area of more than .3 million acres located in Pecos and Terrell counties in western Texas. Through SandRidge Tertiary, a wholly owned subsidiary, it focuses on recovering additional oil that remains after traditional water flooding through carbon dioxide injection oil recovery programs.
