      Did you know that if the power...

      Did you know that if the power company wants to cut your power, if it's off for 5 minutes or less, they don't have to give you any warning that they're turning it off? I didn't.



      Long and short is 2.5 months later and two unwarned power cuts later, my wife's computer is dead and my damage claim has officially been denied by Rocky Mountain Power. Between this and the inconsistent way that they monitor usage (without changing our usage habits and during the same time of year our power bill has ranged from $45-85 without any explanation as to how that is possible from them).



      While their customer service reps are actually all very kind, the fact is, kindness isn't paying for a new computer. This is the very reason why a monopoly in any market is damaging to customers. I would never recommend Rocky Mountain Power.

      Rocky Mountain Power has a comprehensive Customer Guarantee Program that includes seven guarantees that relate to issues customers have said are most important to them, and they are backed by a promise to pay. The guarantees apply to: • Restoring power after outages • Appointments • Switching on power • Estimates for new power supply • Billing questions • Meter problems • Planned interruptions (Some guarantees require a claim to be filed, and there are certain circumstances in which the guarantees do not apply.) The company's customer service center allows customers to contact specially trained representatives 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Rocky Mountain Power also has a direct line for customers to call when the power goes out. Residential, commercial, and industrial power, irrigation, Home Energy Analysis, Cool Keeper Program, Low Income Weatherization, 24hr service, Blue Sky energy renewal program. Habla espa¿ol.
