Founded in 1908, the Rockton Fire Protection District provides fire protection and emergency services for the village of Rockton, Ill. It maintains a fleet of fire engines, pumpers, tankers, ambulances and utility vehicles. The department provides employees with training related to fire management, emergency medical services, hazardous materials mediation, search and rescue and vehicle extrication. It organizes various community events and provides fire prevention and management educational programs. The department offers burn permits and is located in Rockton, Ill.
