General Info

Owner, operator, and teacher, professional musician Richard Byrd has been working in the professional music industry for over 10 years as a pianist, organist, vocalist, stage performer, church musician, musical director, and music arranger. With 20+ years of private and institutional music instruction in areas of organ performance, piano performance, vocal performance, Richard holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Birmingham-Southern College and is currently studying towards the Master of Music degree at Samford University, both in Birmingham, Alabama. As the Music Associate at St. Marys-on-the-Highlands Episcopal Church in Birmingham, he serves as assistant organist and director of childrens music. He has worked in various roles with local theatre organizations and churches in Birmingham such as Virginia Samford Theatre, Magic City Actors Theatre, Red Mountain Theatre, Green and White Productions, Birmingham-Southern College, Samford University, Canterbury, Riverchase, and First United Methodist Churches, and others. Richard is an active recitalist, performer, and instrumental instructor in piano, organ, and voice. Private instrumental instruction is offered as well as contracting services for weddings, parties, and various events; music services range from background piano to live trios and quartets. An experienced and polished music arranger, we also offer our professional services in sheet music arranging and notation using top-of-the-line studio software.
