I saw Randy when I was a teenager going through some tough psychological issues including my mother having cancer, my father traveling about 70% of the year for his job, and having an abusive boyfriend. Randy provided me with some great coping skills that I still use five years later and I never felt judged or looked down upon by him. He always uplifted me and really worked to get to the core of my issues. Eventually most of my family began seeing him, including my father who was formerly against therapists as a whole. I truly believe that he helped to shape me into the happy person I am today and I wouldn't be the same without him. To those who say negative things about him, I don't think you really know him and I know if you are open minded enough, he will definitely be able to help you.

I went to Randy as a child and to someone else in his office as a teenager. I would say that he is AMAZING with children, and he and his whole staff are pretty terrible with teenagers. In my case caused more harm than good during the teenage years. He is also good with adults. Now I'm not saying there aren't things that he misses, cause he is human, but overall, I would recomend him....except if you have a teenager. As for a short initial asessment, yeah, that is pretty typical. You leave wondering what the point of that first appointment was, but every appointment after that I got the full hour and his undivided attention every time.

I attended with Dr. Hyde for a few visits after my divorce and he was great and peppy, but I needed more explanation and reasoning for the things that had happened in my marriage. He didn't seem too enthusiastic about that. After finding another therapist for myself, I decided to take my 4 year old daughter with him because he is excellent with children. He interviewed me for about 15 minutes (i'm serious) and then had my daughter come in for another 5 minutes where I thought he would talk to her, but he didn't. I left the appointment about 30 minutes early and he then took in his next family right away. I got billed for the whole block and for the assessments that were performed on my daughter, which I thought was totally unfair because he didn't even talk or observe her on bit! The staff was extremely rude, especially the receptionist named Stacey and said she didn't believe I was being honest. When I called Dr. Hyde shortly after, he treated me extremely rude. I was hurt.

Dr. Hyde and the psychologists in his office were fine. However, their office billed us for a "missed appointment" and that is where the problems started. The appointment was not missed so I called to discuss this with Dr. Hyde's Administrative Director. She would not listen to me, interrupted me, yelled at me, stated I were wrong and mistaken, and hung up on me. Before she hung up she stated that she would refund the $45 for the missed appointment and then put in her notes that the refund was denied. My spouse and I were both on the phone and heard her say it. When we called back after a few weeks of not receiving the reimbursement we were again told we must have been mistaken and misunderstood. The secretaries were just also condescending. I've never been treated so poorly, unprofessionally, or unethically by a doctors office staff.
