      North Buncombe High School provides learning opportunities to more than 1,000 students in grades 9 through 12. Its academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as math, English, social studies, science and technology skills. North Buncombe High School s campus includes a library media center that maintains a collection of books, magazines and audiovisual materials. The school offers opportunities to participate in a variety of student organizations, including the Mountain Bike Club, Future Teachers of America, Human Rights Watch and Intramurals. It provides several sports activities, including basketball, swimming, wrestling and tennis. North Buncombe High School is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the North Carolina State Department of Public Instruction. The school s staff includes teachers, counselors and media specialists, as well as a speech therapist. It is a part of Buncombe County Schools and is located in Weaverville, N.C.
