Services/Products
Testing: Samples are always analyzed by an independent and accredited third party. NJ-Mold is fully equipped and trained to do Air or Material sampling/testing. A Mold/Fungal Assessment will be conducted to determine if microbial growth is present. Types and amounts of mold will be determined. The Mold Assessment will include the collection of tape samples to determine the presence or absence of mold/fungus on a surface or substrate and identification of the type and amount of mold/fungus present. Air sampling is done to determine the amount of airborne mold/fungal spores. Tape and air samples will be submitted to an independent laboratory certified by the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) to determine the presence or absence of fungal growth/contamination. Visual Inspection: A visual assessment is conducted for the presence of mold/fungus, ventilation, dehumidification, temperature, relative humidity, cause of the problem, contributing factors (slope of property, drain pipes, plumbing leaks, prior flooding, insulation, roof leaks, etc.), and physical damage. Water Penetration: The source of water penetration must be identified and corrected before remediation work is started. Written scope of work: This will include a detailed description of the work to be performed and the costs associated with the work. NJ-Mold is available to answer any questions on the scope of work.
