Its Upper Midwest regional network comprises more than 20,000 area physicians, hospitals, clinics and other health care providers that serve over 1 million members. Medica also serves customers from Wisconsin, North Dakota and South Dakota. Approved by the National Committee for Quality Assurance, its products include standard, individual and family plans, passport from MedicaSM National, Multistate, Medica Choice Open Access, Medica Direct health savings and health reimbursement accounts, financial security assurance, Elect care and patient choice tiered care systems, and short-term Medicaid products. A nonprofit health plan organization, Medica also offers online information about Minnesota health care programs, disease and transplant case management, prescription drug and dental plans, and retiree groups.
