When I called them in 2009 on my back, they told me that i would have to finance over $16,000 for surgery and the interest rate was real high. I told them NO and went to a local surgeon who did a great job and my insurance at that time picked up the majority of the bill. I will never call the Spine Institute to do anything for me.
This institution is not in the state of Virginia so if you have insurance in the state of Virginia then they are not going to pay out-of-state. General cost is somewhere around about $60,000 which they tell you they will give you a discount and you have to pay $20,000. And you have to travel outside of the state to somewhere like Florida or Philadelphia and stay in a hotel for a week bring somebody with you and provide living quarters for that period of time. Please understand that this number does not connect you to any local doctors.

well...called them to get some information. asked if they took medicare and was told that first they have to determine if i am a candidate. hmmm...simple question right?...well asked to speak to a manager and the phone rang about 20 times then hung up on me. maybe if one is a sheeple and blindly does what they say, it may work. for me. i am going to find a much more professional group. when it comes to my back, there is no compromise!!!
