Surgery is always fully staffed on Monday-Friday from 6:30-3:00. However, our surgical staff is always within 20 minutes or less from Jackson Purchase Medical Center 24 hours a day. This is an important advantage in an emergency. We have 16 Same Day Surgery beds, 4 OR rooms, 3 endoscopy rooms, and one minor procedure room. We have several callback teams in place; an OR callback team, an endoscopic callback team, an anesthesiology team, and a VBack call team which handles emergency C-sections. All of our Registered Nurses are ACLS Certified and every step is taken to make sure our clinical staff is trained to keep up with the advances in surgical medicine.
