It was a mistake to give this man $400 and our trust only to find out that he missed several VERY important and costly items to address and fix literally the first night we spent at our new home. We hired Michael in 2011 for our first home and he pointed out several small issues we should address and we fixed those and had no issues with that home, so without hesitation & the recommendation of our realtor, we hired Michael again before we purchased our second home in Oct 2017. With our new home he pointed out several minor issues and 1 moderate issue which we fixed after purchasing the home. We expected those areas of concern. We/Mike didn't expect our hot water tank to release water pressure on it's own the very first night we spent at our new house, which caused the basement to flood. A window frame was rotted out on the bottom and was not addressed in the report. In Nov. 2017, a heavy rain came & the city storm drains got full, so the excess run-off water came up through our basement floor drain and our downstairs shower drain, causing the basement to flood yet again. The same month, we noticed water droplets coming into our home after a rain. WHAT?! The roof was installed 3 years prior so it 'looked good' and was no area of concern on the report. After having 3 different roofing companies come out to give estimates, they ALL 3 agreed that the shingles were installed improperly and it should have been obvious to anyone inspecting the home. They all agreed that they would not recommed patching the areas that were leaking into the home (we wanted of course to save money) but to have the whole roof replaced because it would begin to leak somewhere else in the future. So we had the whole roof replaced. Along the never-ending 'unexpected disasters' we would send pictures to our realtor & to Mike to show what nightmare we are going through & at no point did Mike take any responsibility and/or offer any assistance. Integrity? None. So dissapointed and betrayed.
