Our first location, Governor's Square, is located behind the Governor's Square Shopping Center at the intersection of Route 7 and Route 40 in Bear. This facility opened in 1999 and serves a total of 160 families. Our second location, Saint Andrews, is located adjacent to the Fox Run Shopping Center within the community of Saint Andrews just off of Route 40 in Bear. This facility opened in 2005 and serves a total of 205 families. Our newest location, Bunker Hill Business Centre, is located in Middletown at the intersection of Route 299 and Route 301. This facility opened in 2006 and serves a total of 155 families. All of our facilities educate and care for children 8 weeks through our school aged programs which include before & after care as well as a private kindergarten program. Our standards are higher than those set forth by the State of Delaware Office of Childcare Licensing in all areas including staff credentials and curriculum content. We are proud that all three of our facilities have been awarded a kitchen permit by the state due to our high standards of food safety and nutritional guidelines. Our facilities boast age appropriate playgrounds with imagination building equipment and lots of room to run and play. Inside you will find our facilities to be bright, clean and secure.

My first impression was not good, the front desk administrators gave a bad 5 mins tour of the facility. I was not allowed to go inside the room or talk to the teachers, not shown the play area or kitchen, nothing.I was told its lunch time,I was there well before 12 when tour ends. Its not a big deal, but yes the front desk staff not very serious and friendly sometimes. But my view changed after I met the Owner Lynn whois present most of the days, and the administration is good when Owner is present. She is friendly and approachable, accommodates our requests and takes business seriously.I only enrolled after talking to her.Classrooms are nice spacious,My kid's teachers Ms.kim,Monica and Jessica are great, very nice to kids.Cook is NOT AT ALL friendly and respectful when I go with questions, lucky other parents dont have to talk to her often, Who cares as long as my kid gets a plate :)Overall clean Good Place, better facilities, only one that has a live camera.I Highly recommend this day care.

My daughter has been goinig to this daycare for about 2 weeks and she loves it. when i go and try to pick her up at the end of te day she tells me she doesn't want to leave yet. the other thing i like is that they are very organs and they have a very good struction. they also provide all there lunches and snacks and the cook lady does a great job on the food. my daughter never ate some veggies ad fruit alot and now she does. they last thing i like is that the teachers never yells at the kids for and reason they talk t them. the payment is alittle more then we use to pay but it is all worth it.if i ever have anymore kids besides they on i got i would diffently put my son/daughter in this daycare from the being.

They charge wayyyy too much and ARE money hungry. The administrative staff at the front desk are very unfriendly and unprofessional. The focus always seems to be on the dollar signs and NOT the children. Overpriced and not worth it.

Great New Beginnings is a large and clean facility. However, they do not work with the parents at all. I feel that they are so money hungry and love charging parents late fees. During a the Holiday weekend GNB was schedule to closed on a Friday and a Monday. Upon dropping my crew off I was charged a late fee because I didn't pay tuition on Thursday. I explained to GNB that I don't have direct deposit due to a new job and that I will pick my paper check and pay at pick-up. I was told that my care will be suspended if it's not paid by noon. So, I left work on my lunch hour, arrived at the bank to cash my check, arrived at the daycare to make the payment. Upon making the payment, I explain to the receptionist that I had a 1:00 p.m. meeting and I only get a hour for lunch; she showed she didn't even care. All she was concerned about is payment. I was an extra 45 min late when I arrived back to the office. Good Luck! Make sure you don't have no financial issues. Good Luck.

Early childhood education provides a solid foundation on which future learning may build upon. It should be developmentally appropriate and meet the needs of the individual child. It is extremely important to establish a rapport with each child and be able to develop the child to his or her fullest potential. To meet these responsibilities, Great New Beginnings will be flexible and willing to adapt when necessary. Great New Beginnings' main philosophy is to provide a warm, happy and stimulating environment for your child. The goal of the center is to develop a child's total potential by encouraging growth in social, emotional, physical and intellectual development. Children are given opportunities to be creative with art, experience music, movement, science, language, math activities, and various sensory activities that are also used to foster the child's hands on learning. Throughout the year, each child's developmental strengths and weaknesses are assessed and many "individual instruction" opportunities are offered. As a child matures and the capacities to absorb more task oriented activities develop there are a series of progressively challenging activities that will be presented, making sure not to present activities that are out of the child's limit.
