DO NOT do business with this man. I should have listened to other people when they say Ed Brown will not hesitate to throw a string of profanities at you. The most unprofessional "business" I have ever dealt with.

He seemed nice enough at first. Came to my house to look at a ceiling repair job. I noticed the front license plate on his truck was airbrushed to read "Honest Ed." That bothered me a little because if someone is truly honest they wouldn't need a license plate to tell you. Honesty and integrity come from actions, not bad airbrush art you stick on a truck.

I texted him on Saturday and said Tuesday should work for our job if that worked for him, and to give me a call and let me know for sure.

Over the weekend we had a plumbing issue that came up that could end up costing us thousands. I had meant to call Ed and tell him we would have to hold off on the ceiling repair until we got the plumbing issue straightened out but with all the commotion I forgot. I also never heard back from him to confirm he a) wanted to take the job b) what day worked best for him and c) to give us the go-ahead to move furniture out of the room as we discussed, and Monday night I figured he must have not gotten my text. I planned on giving him a call Tuesday morning to let him know what was going on.

Tuesday morning comes. I'm getting ready for work and on my way out I noticed I had a missed call. Ed had left me a voicemail saying he was on his way out to our house for the job.

Wait. I asked to be called back to see if Tuesday would even work, and all the sudden on Tuesday I get a call saying he's on his way right now? I figured he didn't even get my original text, but evidently he did.

I try to call him a few times but get his voicemail. Finally, after 3 or 4 times, I get him on the line. I tell him my situation. That I need to wait on this job until I figure out how much the plumbing is going to cost us.

He goes silent for a moment and then says "here's the problem, I already have the truck loaded up with the ladders and all the supplies." I tell him I wasn't even sure if he got my text about Tuesday working for me, but that if he did why didn't he follow up with me like I asked?

"There's no way you're gonna try to tell me this is my f$%!ng fault," he said.

Whoa... what?!

He then proceeds to tell me "you know what… f$%! you, and f$%! this job" and all sorts of other stuff, that he's going to send me a bill anyway, etc.

My jaw is on the floor.

Instead of asking if I wanted to pay him in installments, or if I just wanted to wait a bit until I got the plumbing situation figured out (all things a professional business would have mentioned to try to work this out), he CURSES ME OUT in what is the most unprofessional display of customer service I have ever seen.

He hangs up on me after one last "f$%! you" and I'm so incredulous that I'm shaking. YES, as soon as the other issues came up I should have called him. I admitted that to him, and apologized profusely. I still wanted him to do the job, I just needed to hold off for a bit. I didn't mean to put him out. But I also wanted him to recognize that I explicitly asked him to follow up with me about Tuesday and that this was all just one big misunderstanding. Rather than admit it was a misunderstanding and ask what we could do to move forward, he hurls profanities at me and acts like a thug.

Instead of doing the job later, he'd rather throw a tantrum and make sure that I never direct business to him again, either mine or anyone else I know.

Other reviews out there warned me about Ed Brown. I didn't listen, but maybe you will.

Brown Drywall is the rudest company I have ever had the displeasure of working with. I advise everyone to stay away from this company. At best he is unreliable, unprofessional and rude.
