Head Start is a program of Parents And Children Together, also known as PACT, which is one of Hawaii's leading nonprofit family service organizations. PACT designs and delivers a range of social and educational services for socioeconomically challenged citizens. Head Start includes early education classes, parent involvement opportunities, and health and social services. It features life skills training and classrooms for children from low-income families with special needs between the ages of 3 and 5. Head Start includes meals, home visits, and center-based, full- and part-time classes in several areas. Offered at Honolulu, it serves people in the Kalihi area in Hawaii.
