My safe refused to open after 15 years even with new batteries.
I contacted Don Hill"s lock and safe and Don came out to have a look at my problem.He made a determination of what had to be done as the easy option to get in would not work.He told me what he was doing each step of the way which I really appreciated as I watched him at work.We had some good conversations together while he was here.I had pretty much decided that he was not going to get in the safe as it was extremely well made.He assured me that he would get in it as he worked constantly on it as I watched him step by step.Needless to say I still did not believe he would get it open!After some drilling which is often the case with many safes he worked through a very small hole and in a few hours his patience got it to open. I was amazed!!! Great work!

Great service. When I was having problems with my residential deadbolts, the woman in the shop suggested I disassemble and bring them in to the shop. She re-keyed both deadbolts and they work perfectly. She saved me a boatload of money avoiding a service call and was very friendly and knowledgeable. Watch out for locksmiths that say they are local but are not. Stick to Don Hill s - a local business that has been around quite awhile in Durham. Great people.

Don Hill's has done nothing but superior work! I've had unique keys (elevator, desk, etc.) cut there that no other business could cut correctly! The staff made skeleton keys for all my mortise locks. The pricing is fair, in that simple keys are cheap and more complex work is, of course, more expensive. Best of all, the staff is incredibly knowledgeable, honest, and welcoming! Plus, any visit can be followed with a stop at Locopops next door. This is the only locksmith company I fully trust.

Did a great job late one night to cut a key for my Honda motorcycle. But, oh, did it cost!
