Founded in 1966, the Crisis Call Center is a nonprofit organization that provides social and human services for individuals and families. The center is funded by the United Way and is accredited by the American Association of Suicidology. It is certified by the Nevada Bureau of Alcohol and Drug Abuse and is a member of the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. The Crisis Call Center offers 24-hour crisis intervention, prevention, information, referral, advocacy, outreach and educational services. The center conducts training classes for crisis line volunteers and its sexual assault support services team. It provides educational outreach services for middle and high school students in the community.
