Founded in 1882, Children's Square U.S.A., also known as Christian Home Association is a nonprofit, nondenominational organization, serving the needs of children and families, and is located in Council Bluffs, Iowa. The organization offers a wide variety of programs, including emergency shelter for children, services for runaway and homeless youth, and counseling for children and their families. It also offers a specialized educational program for students in grades one through 12, residential education and treatment. Its services include supportive programs for adults and neighborhood outreach activities; youth volunteer groups, foster care and special needs adoption, and early childhood care and education. The organization also has a volunteer group, Lemen-Aides for teenagers. Its academic center provides educational programming for students with emotional and behavioral difficulties. The organization employs more than 150 staff members.
