Purchased a 50 year, "presidential style" warranteed roof from Thomas Brooke Roofing in 1999. After 15 years, roof shingles began slipping off roof and falling to the ground. My home owner's ins. company verifies that short 3/4 inch roofing nails were used to install entire roof. Short nails cannot secure two layers of shingles in the "field" areas of a roof. They are typically used only on overhanging "eaves" areas. Thomas Brooke Roofing admits improper installation but refuses to stand behind their work. They say their 5 year "workmanship warrantee" has expired. We now need to replace the entire roof before water damage occurs (est. $33,000.00). I would not recommend this roofing company to anyone.
