The other day, one of our cars went dead. Battery? Electrical system? We'll find out when the service people get back to us.The car had to be towed from our garage to the service place up on Rt. 23 in Wayne. A guy in a tow truck from BDJ arrived. His name is Alejandro, and what a guy!Getting the dead car out of the garage and up unto his flatbed tow truck looked impossible to me. But he did it, all by himself. He pushed the vehicle out of the garage as far as he could, which wasn't far since the car was deadeningly dead. Using his tow line and various chains, and running back and forth between the truck and the dead car numerous times to reorient it time and again, Alejandro miraculously (to me) maneuvered the corpse out of the garage and up (yes, up) the upgraded driveway on to the flatbed (which was at the top of the driveway).I was amazed by this performance. I told him I was amazed. I gave him a good tip, which made him very happy. He already had a happy and positive spirit, but the tip made him even brighter.Later, telling my wife about this, I felt that I should have doubled the tip. The next morning, I called the towing company (in Paterson) and told the manager how well Alejandro did the job.
