Athena Learning Center of Marlboro, In Home Tutoring Services for the greater Marlboro NJ area, offers Common Core Aligned Programs for 18 month olds-12th grade. Our tutoring sessions are taught on a 1 to 1 ratio by a certified teacher, in the home of the student or another mutually agreed location. We offer the Athena Advantage™ package of powerful instructional programs for each student's continued academic success. These programs include; Literacy, Math, Remedial Studies, Enrichment, Writer's Workshop, Advanced Subject Tutoring, Homework and Organizational Support, Exam Prep SAT/ACT, and Adaptive/Interactive Brain Training exercises. All programs begin with a thorough assessment of your child’s strengths and weaknesses, a professional analysis of results and a review conference. You will gain clarity and understand what your child needs for the academic year. Athena Learning Centers partnered with Pearson Education, C8 Sciences ACTIVATE™, Princeton Review® and other top providers of learning solutions to develop the Athena Advantage™ package. Pearson Education is a leading provider of K-12 solutions and the recognized leader in academic improvement and innovator in research-based strategies. As a pioneer of the education standards movement, Pearson has contributed to the development of the Common Core State Standards. At AtheTVna Learning Center of Marlboro, there is an alignment between what your child will learn in our program and what they are expected to learn at school. The ACTIVATE™ program enhances the academic and executive function skills of every child in today’s diverse classroom by combining interactive computer games and physical activity. This combination was designed by Dr. Bruce Wexler, a leading neuroscientist from Yale Medical School. Activate exercises cognitive skills to strengthen the 8 core cognitive capacities: Working memory, Cognitive flexibility, Sustained attention, Speed of information processing, Multiple simultaneous attention, Pattern recognition, Response inhibition, Category information. The research-based solutions offered include carefully aligned instructional materials that are thoughtfully crafted over many years using a rigorous development process. These programs are combined with our team of qualified and devoted professionals who commit themselves to helping students achieve success in school each day.
