It seems near impossible to reach any person at Aspen Hq to discuss business.

REAL RATING-MINUS ZERO ! I went to ASPEN DENTAL for a filling - Instead of the filling they said the tooth had to be pulled and I would need a bridge. Did that, and next thing I know, I immediately had a very sensitive tooth they just filed down for the bridge. Then they said I needed a root canal on the 'good' tooth they just filed down for the bridge - which meant the NEW bridge had to be drilled for the root canal !!! The dentist was always rushed and wanted to start other procedures BEFORE this was even done! I told her I wanted this finished BEFORE they start on any other teeth. I HAD IT WITH THEIR ATTITUDE ! I got a 2nd and 3rd opinion-from an independent dentist and an endodontist - I needed a root canal on the healthy tooth they filed down AND on another tooth they just filled ! Guess who had to pay for those root canals ? - ASPEN ! I learned the hard way about them. Save yourself the PAIN and EXPENSE - Don't go to ASPEN DENTAL ! Go to a REAL Dentist !

What a sales scam! The dentist seemed nice enough, but then I was taken to an office and given $600.00 of items such cancer screening, tooth whitening, non-insurance covered items that were basically sales pitches. And she wanted me to sign it...no. Also, I called and checked to see if they took my insurance before I went, they said yes, then when I was there - oops, my insurance wasn't on their list. Never been to a medical office with so much sales pitch and so little dental care. Don't bother going.

After being charged $575 for Arestin I did not need, and over $400 for 3 composite fillings (which they did not tell me is not covered under insurance for composite in the back). Now all 3 of those have gone to root canal (I went to a private endo) due to extreme pain after the fillings were placed. I still owe Aspen $368. But why pay for fillings that went to root canal?? The purpose of the filling to begin with (that purpose being avoiding RTC) was not met. Not to mention the anxiety I've been experiencing with all $$ lost and pain...I could have bought like an HDTV, PS3, a couple of DigiCams and Camcorders--all for under what I've given so far to these people. Question: Can I successfully argue not to pay Aspen bill because 3 of the fillings went to RTC and the purpose was not met??I do NOT even give them 1 star, but for allowing me to post
Aspen Dental is the worst dental office I have ever been to. They made me wait forever for my exam, and then dragged me into a room with one of their business people, told me I had all of these problems with my teeth, and then insisted I needed over $1,000 worth of work, with insurance!!! I went to another dentist for a second opnion, and he told me I had two cavities and he filled them for a lot less money! This place is shady and corporate and only out for money. Stay away, stay far far away!
1 star because I cannot submit without giving a score, if i could i would give negative stars for this assembly line dental office. They pull you in under the guise that walk-ins and emergencies are seen on the same day however, my dear gentle people, this is a lie. You will be seen for anything but your immediate problem, be nickel and dimed for every billable procedure possible but the gods forbid you have an emergent problem with dental work that was performed in their office...you will be hard pressed to be given an appointment on that day or the next day - how about next week? I would strongly suggest these facilities be avoided and you place yourself on a waiting list with a good dentist or better yet, group of dentists in your local area.

Walk in welcome is a joke!! My mother saw their ad on TV, need new dentures we went to the Vestal Store. Even with schedule appointments we never spent less than three hours in the office. Waiting room is extremely cold and drafty. Best to pack a snack and take a blanket, office staff is extremely slowwwww!!
I am giving Aspen in Belle Vernon, PA 1 star only so I can access this box. It should be a "0". After my husband required emergent treatment, we were reqested to pay $51.80 for a "co-pay". Insurance coverage was questioned and discussed and we were told that was our co-pay. So we paid. Then, we got a bill for $135.20, what the insurance didn't cover. I called the insurance company, and lo and behold--We were covered at 80% what they pay to Aspen, meaning, Aspen gets the contracted amount of $72 and we pay $18!! Our Ins. co called Aspen, whom stated they would "fix" the problem. Finally, it was agreed that they did owe US a refund, and now we get a bill for $189!! They ADDED the amt paid by the ins. co. to the "Bill" we shouldn't have received! I have now filed complaints with the BBB, Att'y Gen'l, and the insurance co. Aspen's office mgr has YET to call me back!! DO NOT GO THERE, SEE A PRIVATE DOC!!
The employees are inefficient. Has a problem if you are two minutes late for your appointment, but has no issue with keeping the customer waiting for 11/2 hour in the waiting room. There is no privacy. Disusses insurance information, billing procedures and other financial matter infront of other patients in the waiting room, which I think is a HIPAA Violation. Observeed that they are very disrespectul, especially to the elderly. Needs ethical and customer service training.
I am very unhappy with Aspen dental. I went for tooth extraction for a broken tooth, they examined and talked everything else first other than tooth extraction, and they filled couple minor cavities (which they could only see in the X-rays) and asked me to come after another week to remove the broken tooth( that was the main problem i went for). They didn't do any normal cleaning, but they suggested me and my wife the expensive periodontitis cleaning which cost of out-of-pocket $1200. To fill one of the minor cavities, they filed my tooth (lost tooth filling after couple days) and it resulted in root canal.
BEWARE, i wouldn't take my dog there, they gave me an appointment for 1:00 waited until 2:30 before i was seen, gave me tons of excuses about emergency's and then gave me a hard time about ins. i would have gave negative stars but they don't have that. i would be better off with pliers and a rusty butter knife....
Terrible, when up front ask for prices never get it,(I tried few times) one visit and had enough. Become patient without x-rays-impossible. I'm not going let anybody poison my body with radioactivity from x-rays just for their pleasure, or better for money what they want.I'll appreciate if dentist will stay with me and hold my hand when he wanted x-ray, it will be for my pleasure and free of charge.(dentists don't want to do that because x-rays are safe ?!!)If I don't like one dentist, I have to to search for another one. If 10 dentists will do x-ray in one month, my body will be poisoned with radioactivity and never disappear from me in my life(life max for human is 500 Roentgen...) and I have to pay for that?!. After my visit, they made a plan (I didn't ask for that, I wanted fix just two small cavities) fix my three teeth for $ 3950. I'd checked back with my old dentist and all problems was fixed for $357 ! Aspen? Not a option ! Run away as fast as you can !
Beware of Aspen Dental! I went in for a free exam and x-rays (which they would not allow me to get a cleaning until this was done). They first wanted me to get a $65 oral cancer screening that was not covered by insurance but was really necessary. after I declined, the doctor took one look at me and said I had cavityon my left side and one starting on my right. Since I have never had a cavity in my life, and 6 months ago my other dentist said nothing about one starting, I was a little wary. I went for a second opinion to my other dentist. Surprise! A clean bill of health. If you live in the Wallingford/Meriden area, and decide to go to Aspen Dental, be sure to take a quick walk through the exit door.
I recently went to Aspen Dental and they told me that i have periodontal disease. I am 26 years old and brush my teeth everyday - they refused to give me a regular cleaning even though my insurance would pay for it, b/c they said it would be detrimental to my condition - they said i needed a "special" cleaning that would cost 500 out of pocket - every 3 to 6 months for the rest of my life to treat my "condition". I was skeptical of this and went to another dentist who gave me the normal cleaning and a clean bill of health. BE CAUTIOUS OF THIS PLACE!!!!
