Location
Ninilchik, a fishing community of about 700 people, lies on the west coast of the Kenai Peninsula on the Sterling Highway and offers a panoramic view of an active volcano range. Sport and commercial fishing and tourism are the main industries of this unincorporated community, 38 miles southwest of the city of Kenai and 188 road miles from Anchorage. The peaceful "small town" atmosphere of Ninilchik and it's central location make it the ideal place to stay when you tour Alaska's Kenai Peninsul
