Dr. Carter has been helping patients in the North Carolina area battle this condition since 1976, by providing bariatric surgical procedures. With Dr. Carter's help patients are able to achieve a healthy weight and reduce chances of illness from morbid obesity. Dr Carter and his staff are dedicated to helping patients achieve and maintain weight loss success. The staff is instrumental in providing the support that the patient will need before, during, and after surgery. Dr. Paul Carter, a physician and surgeon, has been providing medical and surgical care to the citizens of North Carolina since 1976. Dr. Carter received his Medical Degree from the Howard University College of Medicine in 1969. His internship and general surgical residency were completed at Freedmen's Hospital in Washington DC. Before entering private practice Dr. Carter served as an instructor of surgery at the Howard University Hospital for one year. Dr Carter has been in private surgical practice since 1975. Initially he began his practice in Baltimore, Maryland and in 1976 he relocated to Fayetteville, North Carolina, where he currently resides. Dr. Carter has admitting privileges at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center and High Smith - Rainey Memorial Hospital in General, Thoracic, Vascular, Pediatric, and Laser Surgery.
