We never got to get the "free" estimate. First of all, they will not give you any estimated prices on the phone. If you ask the price of the video camera, no one knows. No price is given for water jetting. Other companies will give a base prices on the phone. A & J's seems suspicious to me. We made an appt between 5 to 7 pm. At 6 they called to cancel
Homeowners beware, Had a plumbing problem and called A & J Plumbing out. They looked at my floor drain and told me they could not use a camera because of some trap I believe he called it. So he snaked it thinking it maybe tree roots or baby wipes, He pulled back nothing. So now he tells me they will have to rip up my floor to find the problem, and later excavate the front yard to fix the problem. He quoted me 2300 and that was not to fix the problem but to find the problem. I was horrified, They charged me one hundred dollars but never fixed or found the problem. We tried to call them back out and was told they would not come back out if they were not destroying my home. Not giving up we called Plumbing Professor and they came out and we informed them of what the other two plumbers said about the camera because of the trap and he said they were correct BUT they could have pulled the toilet to camera. Plumbing Professor pulled the toilet, use the camera and walked me through every step, He found build up of grease in the pipes and stated this is an easy fix, He jetted the pipes, He also stated digging up my floor or my front yard would have been a waste of money, Thanks to Plumbing Professors , They got the job done.
