The State of Tennessee's Treasury Department is one of the legislative agencies within state government that receives and disburses public funds. It administers various employee benefit programs, including the Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System and the Flexible Benefits Plan. The department also operates unclaimed property, college savings, and small and minority-owned business programs, as well as handles and adjudicates claims made against the state.
