What started out as an awesome experience has turned into just BAD BUSINESS.

The AWSOME: Jeff, with Total HVAC, came promptly on time to discuss what I thought I needed and wanted - A ductless mini split unit for our master bedroom and bathroom. He walked through and looked at our existing upstairs HVAC system and stated that we didnt need a new system. Just that our vents, tubing and return vents were all done wrong and by some modifications and changes all would be working and cooling better than ever. Jeff, Senior Project Director with 30 years exp, even drew some diagrams and broke out his air flow chart to prove what he was stating. He admitted he was a total geek when it came to HVAC - GREAT so far. He seemed very knowledgeable and said in his early years he probably would have made the same mistake. He said he would have to calculate and email me an estimate in a few hrs. I was excited and asked if he could give me a ballpark est on the spot. He ballpark $1,700. (Remember - Senior Project Director with 30 years exp ) Great meeting, very excited to discuss the news with my wife who has been hot in the master B & B. NOTE - after the $1,700 ballpark for the upstairs we did discuss sealing the downstairs HVAC that I knew was not included in the 1,700

NOW the BAD that KEPT getting worse.

The next morning I called Jeff and stated I did not receive and estimate from the day before. He said "that's because I never sent it. I got busy and worked late". but he said he would send it shortly.

The written estimate for the DUCT MODS upstairs and down was $4,050.00.
The total will be $1,100.00 for sealing downstairs duct taps, floor boots, and equipment connections
I need justification why the 1700 ballpark est For the upstairs from a man with 30 years experience jumped to 2950 (up 1250) The ballpark est was at the very end before considering the downstairs for ($1,100)
