Sylvan has helped us tremendously with our children! They were falling behind at school and we needed help. We started with 2 of our children and now we have 3 of them at Sylvan. They are making progress and we are very pleased with the program they offer at Sylvan, the system they have using tokens as a reward is a great incentive for the children. My grandson and granddaughter are students at Sylvan. I am delighted with the progress they have made. Their reading comprehension and vocabulary have increased significantly. Although both children started below grade level, thay are catching up quickly. The teachers are patient, and the children love going to their sessions. The progress reports given to the parent or grandparent are easy to understand. I also appreciate the tips that Sylvan staffers give to parents to help students continue learning at home. "Manuel is doing awesome! I can't believe the progress he has made. Right before Christmas break, he took a Star Reading Test to see where his reading level is. He went from 0.5 (grade equivalency) to 2.5 which is amazing! I have noticed a huge difference in the classroom, not only with his skills, but his confidence. I used to have someone pull him and read with him everyday for 30 minutes as part of a reading group.
