      General Info

      Studio C Nashville was designed with freelance engineers and tech savvy artists in mind. It's a logically laid out recording studio, with contemporary acoustics, and features many well-known models and brands of professional recording equipment. All of our vintage gear has been refurbished, restored and brought back to like new condition. Many pieces have been modified with upgraded modern components, classic NOS tubes, and vintage transformers. These modifications are engineered to enhance the sonic character of the chosen devices and improve noise or distortion performance. Our DAW selection includes Pro Tools 11, Cubase 8.5, Logic X and Adobe Audition CC as a component of the Adobe Creative Cloud. We have automated many Pro Tools functions utilizing the revolutionary Batch Commander 2.5 from Slate Media Technology. Control Room A's main monitors are modified KRK 1300M mastering monitors with a 1/4 wave transmission line sub woofer system. This 4 way system is powered by Crown, Conrad Johnson, and Bryston audiophile power amps. Room EQ, driver alignment, and crossover functions are handled by a 24 bit DSP speaker management system. Secondary monitors include Mackie HR 824 and Yamaha HS 5 monitors. Over 40 modern and vintage pre amps and channel strips are routed into Universal Audio Apollo and Apogee Converters. They include modern units from, Daking, Phaedrus Audio, Grace, Sebatron, Universal Audio, Lindell Audio, and Audient. Vintage gear includes models from Universal Audio, Telefunken, Neve, Spectrasonics, Furman, Joe Meek, and Gruning Audio Werks. The studio has an equally unique collection of nearly 60 modern and vintage microphones. Modern classics from AEA, Neumann, Miktek, Cascade, Peluso, and Blackspade, complement classics from Sony, Sennheiser, Beyer Telefunken and AKG. UREI, Countryman and Radial DI’s are also available. We're always happy to hear from engineers and producers that wish to work here, and we can get them up to speed really fast. For artists looking for someone to work with, we are also very happy to recommend producers and engineers that can help make your project the best it can be. We also offer complete video production services, mastering, and website design for artists and small labels.

Our staff has extensive experience producing and distributing radio media tours, “books on tape”, podcasts and syndicated radio programming. Our main production studio is used regularly for the production of jingles, music scores, sound design, SFX assembly and ADR / Foley work for television film and video game applications.
