One of our favorite restaurants. As a two-freelancer household, great coffee served all day is a huge plus.

What if diabetes could be condensed down to a single plate?

Though only Paula Deen can truly be sure of the science behind such a phenomenon, Sky Blue Cafe has come dangerously close to achieving that feat, as evidenced by its Banana Nutella French Toast Pancakes. As in, French toast, covered with bananas and Nutella, stuffed between two pancakes larger than my head (caveat: I have always had a rather small head). Yes, this is a thing, and it is glorious.

When I am not feeling in touch with my inner obese person, I lean towards the varied egg options available at Sky Blue; my particular favorite is the Space Captain, and this is not even solely because of its fantastic name. The Space Captain is an omelet featuring spinach, mushrooms, onions, veggie sausage, and pesto. And as I am pretty sure Albert Einstein once said, "Only two things are infinite--human stupidity and the greatness of pesto." Excuse me if I'm paraphrasing here.

Be ready for a long wait if you intend to come here. On average, I have waited for about 45 minutes to an hour. Recommended to come on nice days, so you can sit outside and imbibe the free coffee in massive amounts (I figure I am drinking the value of my lost time). Overall, worth the trip, but do plan on a wait.

Ok food, Terrible service!

Do not go here during the week for lunch. It is not busy at all and somehow it still takes them an hour to get a to go order ready. In which, they can not even do that correctly. I had the eggs benedict to go, they did not include my fruit cup and the "canadian bacon" is cheap out of the package ham. Do not expect any apologies, the staff is a bunch of young guys that could care less. If I do return, I will make sure I have atleast 2 1/2 hours to spare from the office for my lunch break. Ridiculous!

Chili mac, meatloaf sandwich with smashed potatoes, tuna salad sandwich, eggs benedict...and Em's Breakfast bowl are all to die for! Out of this world coffee & desserts. You won't get tired of this place anytime soon!

P.S. If there's a line...WAIT!
