My daughter and I looked at Hillwood Villa apartments because they were near her price range. While they are reasonable, the area is changing but still isn't what I would consider safe for a young girl on her own.
That they are terrible. The apartments were cheaply renovated with terrible appliences, especially the dishwasher. The cabinets were not redone, meerly painted with a thick coat of black paint which chips and is just nasty. The floors chip and it smelled of smoke for a long time. They are not animal friendly. I on multiple occasions have seen one of the maintence man chasing and screaming at the stray cats whom do not seem to bug any of us. I would not let him near any animals at all. The new managment is not overly helpful, especially with dealing with maintence problems. I also have had noise issues with blasting music from a truck that parks by the Supermercado, as well as the constant renovations (which once kept me up until 2 in the morning.) Although the apartment was cheap I wish I had moved in down the road instead!
